I informed my housemate and his girlfriend that it was, pressingly, thirsty thursday today (among other things), and while I would've loved to do some hemp or othersuch inspired beverage, I inquired what they'd like to imbibe on this special day. My housemate's girlfriend perked up, "Long Island Iced Tea... but not too strong because I have to drive".
A change in seasons comes with a very welcome change in weather, and even better: a change in sights, smells, and flavours! Particularly in our prairie spring, we see a major shift in palettes. As the sun finds its courage and the vegetation livens up a little bit, maybe some seasonal drink can do the same?
A few weeks ago I had a little potluck with some friends and family. I try to get everybody together at least once every few months, and one thing I really enjoy putting together is a different cocktail for each event. Being that this was likely the last potluck of the winter, (won't hold my breath...) I thought I'd give our begrudgingly beloved season a beverage-based goodbye.
